A high school experience decorating Rose Parade Floats is when Tara walked into the "Rose Tent" where thousands of Roses were kept, this is where she found her love for flowers. A marriage, two kids and a career in the medical field later Tara found herself again with her first love of flowers, working at Von's as a "Green House Manager". Learning all she could about Floral Design, Customer Service and Budgets. She went out on her own and created Megan's Garden in 1992. A small boutique Floral Design company that served local San Diego and Orange County Clients. After two more children and a move back up to Orange County she changed the name to Sweet Blossom Designs to serve their growing clientele and staff. She loves working with flowers, clients and other vendors to create the most perfect celebrations whether it is a Wedding, a Corporate Event, a Birthday Party or a Celebration of life.
MARK WHEATON | LEAD CARPENTER, and DESIGNER
Mark does it all!! He builds beautiful custom Wedding Arches and Chuppahs and other custom details like Hanging Flower Installations and Donut Walls or Seating Charts. He hangs Market Lights and sets up all aspects of Ceremonies and Receptions. He is THE guy you look for if you need an answer. He makes our clients wild and crazy design ideas become a reality for them. With over 45 years in construction as a carpenter, electrician and plumber to work with we know he has it covered.
TARA AND MARK HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 42 YEARS They have four amazing kids, two lovely kids in law and two perfect grandsons. Mission Viejo has been home for the past 54 years.

Megan’s first encounter with Sweet Blossom Designs is picking up her sister’s Floral Crown from a Yelp call… her and I hit it off right away. We then designed not only her sisters Wedding but her own Wedding as well. From there she joined our team and quickly learned all things Wedding and her natural gift for Floral Design made her something truly special. After several years of dedication to her craft and artistry Megan has stepped in as Owner of SBD. She has gracefully taken the role as Lead Floral Designer, Planner and Coordinator. Her attention to detail and quick thinking helps all our couples have everything they need to have a stress free and beautiful Wedding Day. She is dedicated to making sure every flower is in place and each detail is taken care of and that her couples have the Wedding Day you dreamed of.
